School of Marine Sciences - Laboratories
The advanced chemistry, biology and molecular biology laboratories are well equipped with modern instruments, allowing the implementation of progressive cutting edge scientific methods. The physical proximity to the sea allows work to be carried out in "wet" laboratories with flowing sea water, providing an optimal basis for research. Students observe and experiment in these laboratories, gaining experience in advanced work methods and acquiring professional scientific research skills and tools.

The Biology Laboratory is equipped with advanced optic and microscopic instruments which enable observation of marine organisms, examination of histological slices and digital photography of the observed objects.
The Chemistry Laboratory allows the implementation of experiments displaying titration of acid-bases, mixture separation, extraction, distillation, crystallization and determination of melting point, electrochemical experiments and more.
The Molecular Biology Laboratory allows the implementation of experiments that include cloning, chemical synthesis of DNA, RNA technologies, genome mapping with DNA markers, DNA sequencing and genome information bioinformatics.

Ruppin's proximity to the sea and advanced means attract researchers from throughout Israel and around the world to the Michmoret campus in order to perform experiments that cannot be carried out at any other location in Israel. In addition, a sophisticated research ship, the Mediterran Explore, is permanently docked at the nearby Herzliya Marina and is available to students and researchers for oceanographic and marine biology study.

Computer Center
The 70 computer stations at the Michmoret campus are equipped with a variety of software programs that allow writing and processing of study materials as well as unrestricted internet access.
The computer unit support team provides comprehensive computer solutions and is available to help students and faculty throughout the day

Student Dormitories
Dormitories for the School of Marine Sciences in Michmoret are situated in Moshav Beit Herut, adjacent to the "M" shopping mall. The dormitories include 52 rooms, some within common apartments and some singles.
Dormitory prices are reasonable relative to the alternatives in the area and the waiting list is long, thus it is recommended that arrangements be made early.

Marine Fields
The School of Marine Sciences curriculum includes an abundance of tours and research projects as well as practical study of marine fields.
Sailing Club

A sailing club is available for students at the Michmoret anchorage. Students study seamanship at the club as part of a skipper's course in their first and second years and they embark on various sailing activities. The students are able to use the club's windsurf boards, small sailboats, swallows, yachts and kayaks. There is also a diving club adjacent to the sailing club in the Michmoret anchorage that offers a variety of new user-friendly diving equipment to all students as they begin their studies. The club serves students taking courses that include marine activity and also offers 1-3 star level diving courses, depth courses and technical diving operations to locate, map and research new areas in the Mediterranean Sea. A variety of other activities are also available, led by certified diving instructors who run the club and are students themselves.

The Michmoret Diving Club is approved as per Israeli Diving Federation standards.*
