The four departments of the Engineering School grant their graduates B.Sc. degrees. The curricula are varied and of similar standard to those offered by leading universities in Israel and abroad. Together with a firm grounding in the basic scientific and technological base subjects and in various spheres of engineering, the curricula combine unique content and study tracks which open up possibilities for a range of employments in the future.

Industrial orientation
The School of Engineering and the directorate of the Ruppin Center maintain constant contact with industrial concerns and firms in order to help graduates to find their place in industry after completing their studies.
During the academic year senior figures in Israeli industry are invited to lecture students and tell them about types of activity, aims and challenges facing Israeli industry. The School has an industrial steering committee whose members include leading Israeli industrialists. It is headed by Mr. Yaki Yerushalmi, Chairman of the Hadera Paper Concern and its objective is to develop new areas of study as required by the labor market and to bring the School and its graduates closer to industry through collaborations. All fourth year engineering students carry out a project which demonstrates the nature of field work, and learn thereby to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and field conditions. The project is carried out in conjunction with leading hi-tech industries and serves the graduate as a preliminary visiting card for integration in the labor market.

Medical systems engineering track
The academic sphere of medical systems engineering responds to the growing need of institutions, industries and organizations dealing with public health for engineers specializing in areas touching on medicine. Medical systems engineering is one of the technological spheres with the highest growth rate in the Western world in general and Israel in particular.
The School of Engineering has established an excellent curriculum of basic subjects and engineering areas related to medical instrumentation - communications, signal and picture processing. This firm base enables the School to develop curricula in the spheres of bio-medical engineering and medical instrumentation as a natural extension of existing programs.

Management studies
The Engineering School offers students an excellent engineering and scientific infrastructure in various areas of know-how of a standard accepted in leading institutions in Israel and throughout the world. But in order to become a successful engineer and manager, supportive managerial training is required. The School of Engineering provides such training as an inseparable part of all the study tracks.
Some of the managerial courses are focused on the hi-tech industry, such as management of projects and engineering economics, enabling the future engineer to tackle problems of management and financing in a dynamic and challenging environment and to exploit the skills acquired in the course of studies.
Among the subjects taught in all the study tracks: organizational theory, organizational behavior, management of human resources, financing, international marketing, teams - construction and operation, assimilation of new technologies in organizations.

Laboratories
The laboratory infrastructure is highly advanced and adapted to the requirements of the dynamic 21st century market. Students from all departments can carry out scientific experiments within the framework of the various courses on offer.
In the new laboratory building the students have at their disposal state of the art laboratories in the following areas: computers, physics, electronics, microprocessors, communications, signal processing, robotics and automation. Thanks to collaboration with Oracle Israel an ERP system is now in operation which enables students to practice the management of resources of large and complex systems and organizations.
