CFRAC

The Canadian Friends of Ruppin Academic Center

The historical ties between Canadian Jewry and Emek Hefer, where the Ruppin Academic Center is located, date back to 1927, when the Canadian Jewish community, led by Archibald J. Freiman, worked with the Jewish National Fund to purchase and establish the area of Emek Hefer.

In the spirit of this longstanding special relationship, the Canadian Jewish community and the Ruppin Academic Center continue to look together towards a greater future for Israel and Emek Hefer.

A.J. Freiman, grandson of Archibald and Lillian Freiman, took up this challenge as the head this Friends association, thus linking together our shared past and future.

We welcome the involvement of our Canadian Friends in our educational, social and Zionist mission, and invite you to share the challenges. CFRAC is a volunteer organization of Canadian individuals and representatives of institutions, dedicated to supporting the Ruppin Academic Center.

Launching of CFRAC at the Residence of the Honorable Jon Allen Ambassador of Canada to Israel, on the occasion of the 60st Anniversary of the establishment of Canada-Israel relations.
