Michmoret Campus
Campus Life
At the Michmoret campus, located on the shoreline, the Faculty of Marine Sciences operates. The Michmoret campus operates out of a perception of sustainability that gives a place of respect for regional and national natural values and encourages social and environmental involvement in and for the community.
The value of environmental conservation begins with the opening of academic programs such as MA in the management of marine resources and moves through raising awareness of these issues among all students and creating real "green" initiatives during their studies.
For example: extensive recycling activities on campuses, voluntary operations to clean the beaches, treatment of injured turtles, and the like.
The concept of sustainability and its importance also permeates the contents of the study with the backing and encouragement of the academic staff in order to shape a generation of graduates who is not only aware of the environmental problems and their solution, but also aware of the tremendous business leverage inherent in developing these solutions.
Hundreds of students are exposed each year to courses focusing on ecological and environmental issues and are studying the development of the green industries in a series of guest lectures from the field.
