Ruppin's 'Green' Campus

Campus Life

Ruppin Academic Center operates two study centers. On the main campus, north of the Sharon junction, are the three faculties: Engineering, Economics and Business Administration, Social Sciences and Community, while on the shoreline Michmoret campus operates the Faculty of Marine Sciences.

The main campus in the heart of Emek Hefer and the Blue Campus in Michmoret operate from a perception of sustainability that gives a place of respect for regional and national natural values and encourages social and environmental involvement in and for the community.

The concept of sustainability and its importance also permits the contents of the study with the backing and encouragement of the academic staff in order to shape a generation of graduates who is not only aware of the environmental problems and their solution, but also aware of the tremendous business leverage inherent in developing these solutions.

Hundreds of students are exposed each year to courses focusing on ecological and environmental issues, and learn about the development of green industries in a series of guest lectures from the field.
