Integrating into social activities
Unit for Social Involvement
Integrating students and faculty members into social activities in educational frameworks for youth in distress
Our activities take place in educational frameworks - boarding schools and youth villages - attended by youth from broken families. The activities carried out in these frameworks have been developed over the years together with the educational teams and in cooperation with the girls and boys themselves. The vast majority of the youth are from immigrant families from Ethiopia. In recent years, immigrants from the former Soviet Union and France have also been added. Over the years, we have learned that many youth in these frameworks face gaps and educational deficiencies due to a series of educational and social failures in the past. Therefore, a large part of our activity is intended to strengthen motivation for learning and improve scholastic achievement; The guiding principle of the planning and execution of the activity is focusing on those areas of activity in which the involvement of the Academy has a unique contribution on the one hand, and the development and theoretical implementation of the experience and lessons of running the various projects in recent years.
