Study Tours and Seminars

Study Tours and Seminars in Israel:

Study tours: Once a year, there is an organized study tour in Israel for students in the program. During their studies, the students participate in one study tour dedicated to the issue of migrant workers and asylum seekers (for example, a tour in south Tel Aviv that includes meeting with asylum seekers and participating in a panel of organization that assist asylum seekers) and one study tour dedicated to the issue of immigrants and absorption (for example a tour in Netanya introduced students to the activities of the city and absorption organizations in the city regarding the absorption of immigrants from the former Soviet Union, Ethiopia, and France). These tours and seminars play an important role in helping students become directly acquainted with the main issues of the day in the field of immigration and social integration.

International Study Tours and Seminars:

Seminar for international students: Once a year, in the summer, an elective course is offered in English in the form of a seminar for students in the program and international students. Students can take this two-credit seminar instead of an elective course.

During their studies, students are offered the opportunity to participate in a study tour abroad related to the issue of immigration and social integration. This two-credit seminar can be taken instead of an elective course. In March 2017, 25 students participated in a study tour in Munich in order to learn firsthand about how Germany is handling the phenomenon of immigrants and asylum seekers
