The Multidisciplinary Research Center in Decision Making
Decision-making is a research discipline we encounter in all areas of life: from the decisions of a single economic entity to the decisions of policymakers in areas of economics and finance, education, health, infrastructure, and engineering. Today, more than ever, private, public, and governmental organizations use research tools and insights from research in the field to improve their decision making.
The Multidisciplinary Research Center in Decision Making, headed by Dr. Guy Barokas, was founded in 2021 and includes researchers from various disciplines: Economics, Industrial Engineering, Management Science, Psychology, and Business Administration. Together they examine issues related to decision-making in a multidisciplinary approach with the purpose of improving the judgment and decision-making processes of individuals, organizations, and policymakers.
Vision and Goals
The Center's main goal is creating original research on issues of judgment, choice, and decision-making that will broaden the research frontier. We strive for our research to serve commercial firms, organizations, and policymakers in a variety of contexts, such as: marketing, management, engineering, finance, and public policy, while taking an interdisciplinary approach and collaborating with entities outside the center.
