BSc in Computer Engineering

  • Synergy: The program provides knowledge that brings together hardware, programming, and algorithms. It operates in the same department as the program in electrical engineering and electronics. This facilitates distinctive synergy between the two programs, which enrich one another with academic content in the fields of programming, computer networks, and information security. This combination makes the program in computer engineering at the Ruppin Academic Center stand out from the programs offered at the other Israeli colleges.

  • Distinctive scholarships for excellence: The Faculty of Engineering awards a special scholarship that covers the entire cost of the basic tuition fees (100%) for one year to applicants who meet the acceptance criteria for the undergraduate degree program in electrical engineering and electronics. The scholarship is for students whose first year of studies is the 2017-2018 academic year and have a score of 650 or higher on the psychometric exam.

  • In addition to the scholarships for outstanding applicants, there is an extensive array of scholarships for academic excellence, motivational scholarships, scholarships for socioeconomic grounds, and sports scholarships.

  • Eminent lecturers: The overwhelming majority of lecturers in the program have experience both in teaching and research at the leading academic institutions in Israel and many years of experience at the forefront of the high-tech industry.

  • The faculty at the Ruppin Academic Center wins the top slots every year in the national survey on teaching quality. In the survey that the Israeli Student Union conducted on student satisfaction in October 2016, the lecturers at Ruppin came in first place out of the lecturers of all the government-subsidized institutions of higher education in Israel for the second year in a row.

  • Career placement: The    External Studies and Career Management  at the Ruppin Academic Center provides students and alumni with guidance and direction throughout studies as well as after them. This includes workshops to prepare for the job market, guidance on resume writing, job listings for students and alumni, and placement of alumni, upon completion of their studies, at selected companies that maintain contact with the unit.
