B.Sc in Computer and Information Science
On the field of computer and information science
Computer and information science is a growing new interdisciplinary academic field bridging theoretical and practical computer science with scientific data science. Computer science studies processes that interact with data and can be represented as data in the form of programs. It enables the use of algorithms to manipulate, store and communicate digital information. Data science uses scientific methods, processes, algorithms and systems to extract knowledge and insights from information. The field includes classic topics such as computation theories and models, computer architecture, operating systems and performance evaluation; Alongside innovative topics such as cloud systems, data processing and system analysis (Big Data), cellular applications, social networks for a variety of uses, artificial intelligence, natural language processing and computetional learning.
