Prof. Nonna Kushnirovich, PhD, is Head of the Research Authority of the Ruppin Academic Center, Israel. She is also a Researcher at the Institute of Immigration and Social Integration, and a former Head of the Department of Economics and Management. Her current research interests include economics of immigration, ethnic economy, entrepreneurship of immigrant and ethnic minorities, economic integration and economic behavior of immigrants, commodification of labor migration and its impact on the labor markets.
Prof. Kushnirovich was Editor in Chief of the Yearbook of Immigrants in Israel. She is a member of the editorial boards of two international academic journals. Nonna Kushnirovich also was a member of the Advisory Committee to the Head of the section in charge of Foreign Workers Rights at the Israeli Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor. She has substantial experience in research projects on immigrants for the Israeli Institute of Social Insurance, the Israeli Ministry of Immigrant Absorption, the Population and Immigration Authority of Israel, and other organizations. Prof. Nonna Kushnirovich has published numerous papers in international academic journals.
