Research
My research explores the intersection of advertising, consumer behavior, and prosocial action. I investigate how marketing communication and advertising design can promote socially responsible behaviors, such as charitable giving, health-related decisions, and diversity representation. Using an interdisciplinary approach that draws from psychology, sociology, and marketing, I aim to understand the emotional and cognitive processes that drive decision-making.
A core element of my work involves the use of biosensor technologies, such as facial expression analysis, to study implicit consumer responses to marketing stimuli. These tools provide valuable insights into how advertising can be crafted to elicit emotional engagement and foster prosocial behavior.
My current projects address topics such as charitable donor decision-making, culturally sensitive health communication, and the effects of visual symbols in nonprofit marketing. I also explore the role of ethical branding and sustainable consumption in encouraging long-term behavioral change.
